you can't go wrong with a Larry Hill western! The Will Cannon series is the perfect novel for the western fan! Each book is a winner. Will Cannon, bounty hunter, is attacked by Apaches new Tucson. After being nursed back to heath, he cleans out the town of outlaws and bandits. He enlarges the holdings of he and brother Joe when he buys a wholesale grocery business and another business providing horses for the Army. He's taken care of the gang and bandits but he hasn't found the Blackman Gang. There's plenty of work to be done on the ranch in New Mexico, so Will heads home. We can be sure he will be back on the trail after the spring thaw.Product details

Good western.
The usual good fast read from Larry Hill in the Will Cannon Bounty Hunter series. Good characters, story flow and the usual 'good triumphs in the end'.
I will always be troubled by stilted dialogue and over-explanation in the Will Cannon western books. Despite this, I actually find myself enjoying the stories Larry Hill puts together in the series.
Interesting western that encompasses western businesses with a growing country. Bounty Hunting, wholesales businesses and ranches. Oh, yea, it has good guys, and bad guys. The bad guys just don't cut it. This has been an interesting series.
I enjoy reading these types of western novels. Larry Hill does a nice job seeing to it, that Will Cannon keeps the law and order. And that there is usually a reward at the end as well.
Larry Hill's westerns are always enjoyable to read.
This is another of his typical westerns where the main character Will Cannon finds himself in the middle of a valley take-over by a rich rancher and Will, using all available resources is able to thwart the evil scheme.
The usual suspects are included, starting with a pretty widow who just can't get enough of Will, topped with down-and-out cowboys against a backdrop of two well- known locations, Tucson and Toombstone, and you have the perfect spagethy western.
The only blemish, which I overlooked easily, was that the layout wasn't all that great, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the story.
I have read all but 4 of the Will Cannon series now and this is another good entertaining story. If you have read other Will Cannon stories I believe you will enjoy this next entry into the series. It's old time B-Western type entertainment where the weak and down and out are helped and protected and the evil, crooked bullies get their due justice delivered by the hero of this series. Many common elements of previous books can be found here and become "familiar friends" to those who follow the series. Yet each story does have its own different setting and set of circumstances. I also like the fact that you can sit down on one afternoon-evening and finish the story. Keep them coming.
